Calanthe Coffee opened its doors on West 4th Street with one non-negotiable standard: if it doesn't meet our table, it doesn't meet yours. Every pour-over, every espresso pull, every croissant that comes out of our oven is the result of deliberate choices — sourcing, timing, technique — made by people who actually care about the outcome.
We're not a chain. We're not scaling for speed. We're a neighborhood coffee house that treats every customer like someone we've known for years, because in this town, that's exactly what they are.

Source with Intent
We work directly with importers who share our standards. Every origin has a story, a farmer we can name, and a harvest date we can trace. If we can't say where it came from, we don't serve it.
Roast in Small Batches
Our roaster runs multiple small loads per week, not one massive batch that sits on a drum for days. Freshness isn't a label here — it's a schedule.
Pull with Precision
Every shot is weighed, timed, and tasted. Temperature, grind, pressure — these aren't variables we guess at. They're the foundation of what lands in your cup.
